Fortnite season 6 searches on Pornhub doubled after launch

Searches for the popular video game Fortnite have more than doubled after the recent launch of the game's sixth season on the adult video sharing website Pornhub, according to new data from Pornhub Insights. Searches for terms containing the name of the video game also experienced a spike after the release of the game's fifth season in July 2018 while the term has stayed within Pornhub's top 25 search terms for 2018 so far, equating to hundreds of thousands of additional searches on a daily basis. The top Fortnite-related search terms on Fortnite were reportedly'Fortnite hentai' followed by'Fortnite porn,' 'Fortnite parody' and'Fortnite cosplay.' Notably, a number of Fortnite characters were also named as top Fortnite-related search terms on Pornhub, with the most-searched one being Sunstrider from season 5 followed by Zoey from season 4 of the game. One of the newest characters in the game, the cowgirl-themed Calamity, currently ranks as the third-most searched Fortnite character on Pornhub. Fortnite and Pornhub have seen a surprisingly strong correlation in recent months for various reasons.

Fortnite Season 6 is almost here, with Epic Games formally announcing that the latest version of the battle royale phenomenon will launch on 27 September. A teaser image showing a robotic lama was published by the official social media channels of Fortnite's developer on Monday, though it is not clear what this signifies. A short message accompanied the image: "All great parties need a DJ. 3 days to Season 6." Players of the game can expect new skins, challenges and updates to the map, which has already begun to change after the mysterious purple cube rolled into Loot Lake last week. After a month of rolling periodically around the terrain, leaving scorch patterns – or'runes – on the ground, the giant cube reached its final destination. When it reached the lake, it transformed the surface into a purple trampoline.


Fortnite Battle Royale Fall Skirmish offers $10m in prize money in game's biggest ever tournament

Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite: Battle Royale, has announced the launch of its Fall Skirmish competition, which will give players of the popular game the chance to win a share of $10 million. The six-week series will begin next weekend (22 September) and conclude at the Twitchcon gaming conference in California on 26 October. "The new approach for Fall Skirmish will include both Competitive and Entertainment play formats. We're looking to incorporate some of these new formats into our large-scale events in 2019," Epic Games said in a blog post. "During Fall Skirmish, players will proudly represent themed teams and earn points based on their performances in both play formats. Each week will pose new challenges like white-knuckle ATK races, masterful golf outings, mini-games, and of course high skill competition every weekend."
